They started their 3-month trip in asia in HK! In 2007, i met Yasuka in Tokyo, Aurore in Nantes and Linn Marie in HK, the 3 very good roommates when stayed in the state! 8 Nov (Thur) I waited for their call in the whole afternoon since they were arrived at around 1200. But until 6pm I didnt receive their call so I decided to go to their hostel, tried to see if I can find them... so worry.. 1st time to enter Chingking Mansion, 1st time going to hostel of HK... finally I met them in the hostel room! Waiting for Eric then we went to Stars Avenue, saw the Symphony of Ligth show, then went to have hotpot... but they didnt like hotpot much... most of the food they didnt like at all... 9 Nov (Fri) In morning we went to find for another hostel, the new one was much better than that in Chungking Mansion... then apply for the Chinese visa, asked for some info of traveling to China (thx GL for the info!)... and then went to Page One to buy Lonely Planet of China and lunch in City Super's food count... again they didnt like the food and we decided to have no Chinese food for the coming days... went to Pacific Coffee to rest and used the internet services... then took ferry to Wanchai and visited the Golden Bauhinia Statue... took tram from Wanchai to Central, then took the peak tram to the Peak. Lots of people in the queue and we waited for like 40 minutes... arrived the Peak enjoying the panoramic view then dinner in Bubba Gump, quite good food there! again queued for 40 minutes for the tram backing to lower Peak tram station...then we took the "open-head" bus to harbour then took ferry back to TST... 10 Nov (Sat) In morning we went to Tung Ching by MTR... visited the Gateway Outlet and lunch in Delifrance... then took bus to the Buddha...climbed up to the buddha, visited the temple (the monk were praying at that time..), walked to the Wisdom Path and Ngoping Village (quiet die!)... on the way back, some people in front of us gave us free ticket to take the bus, and MTR has free return, as a result, our return way was free of charge! hahaha.. went to MK to have dinner in California Pizza Kitchen, there were sooooooo many people in MK, long time havent been there in sat night... so crowded! really crazy... visited women street and sport shoes street...then back to hostel 11 Nov (Sun) Didnt meet them in morning and afternoon since I was so tired and had to do some company stuff... went to TST at 18:30 having dinner in a Mexican restaurant in Knutsford Terrace...good that eric finished his trail walker very early and able to join us... then visited Watson's and Trendy Land... 12 Nov (Mon) Original plan was Linn and Grethe doing some stuff on their own (like having hair cut and buy stuff for ongoing trip) and we met at around 2pm... Mei was in TST at 2:30pm so i went out at once despite they didnt call yet... when arrived TST, I tried to find Linn, however, we lost contact and failed to find each others... Mei and I jsut waited and waited... and finally we 4 meet at around 7pm!! It was soooo long until we met! And in fact Linn sent me sms but I couldnt receive it! We went to HungHom to buy train ticket then back to hostel... and said bye! HK is a bit boring for them since they were not going to do any shopping now and is a city... very correct that "city is a city", not very special.. 5 days' enough! 13 Nov (Tue) Linn and Grethe were on their way going to the Mainland China! And we are going to meet again in late Jan here in HK again! |
